DISCOVER THE HOLISTIC HEALTH BENEFITS OF FLOAT THERAPY

Floating is the practice of resting effortlessly atop a 11″ solution of water and 1100 pounds of magnesium sulfate, otherwise known as Epsom Salts. The solution is warmed to typical skin temperature, about 93.5º, and is within a large open tub so there is no light, sound or pressure on the body. By reducing the sensory input, you are able to relax on deeper levels than anywhere else, providing many benefits for the body, mind, and spirit.

In short, it’s the most comfortable and relaxed your body has been since you entered this world. Plus, our open floats are some of the most accessible and the only ones like it in the area!

Take a moment and feel your body as you’re reading this… really focus on the tension in your shoulders, that small nagging ache in the lower back, perhaps some joint pain that always bugs you (but not bad enough to do anything about). All of these body stresses, whether caused by injuries, poor posture, repetitive tasks, or just plain aging, are constantly depleting your daily energy levels and affecting a whole host of things from your mood to creativity all the way to how well you digest food.

“This was my first time here and they welcomed me and accommodated my schedule in an amazing way. I had a wonderful massage and 60 minute float session that was beyond my expectations. I’m fascinated that with repetitive float therapy a person can obtain theta brain waves activity Which promotes learning and memory health as well. The session was great and I will be back!”

Float Therapy

Float therapy also helps to reduce tension in the nervous system

Float therapy is a unique form of relaxation that involves floating in a tank filled with water and food grade Epsom salt. This creates a weightless environment which allows the body and mind to relax and enter a meditative state, leading to improved mental clarity, increased energy levels, and reduced stress.

Massage

Studies are starting to show the benefits for our mental health.

Pairing a massage with a float session at The Zaniya Center amplifies the holistic wellness experience. The targeted manipulation of muscle tissue during a massage preps your body, releasing tension and enhancing circulation. This provides a smooth segue into a float tank’s serene, weightless environment where relaxation deepens, muscles continue to relax, and the mind finds clarity amidst the quietude.

Infrared Sauna + Halotherapy

Boost your energy, reduce pain and recover faster.

The Halo-IR is the first sauna on the market that combines halotherapy with infrared sauna all in one unit. This 2 person unit also includes medical grade light therapy (chromotherapy), bluetooth enabled speakers for music or guided meditation and aromatherapy. Customize your session for a unique, one of a kind experience tailored to your health needs.

Red Light Therapy

RLT has been used in medical treatments for decades

Red light therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive, natural treatment that uses low-level red and near-infrared light to stimulate cell energy production. RLT is believed to help cells regenerate and repair themselves more quickly by increasing the amount of energy they produce. This increased energy production can lead to improved skin health, reduced inflammation, better blood circulation and even improved moods.

Reflexology

The ultimate goal of reflexology is to relax the body, improve circulation and balance the systems

Reflexology is an ancient form of healing that uses pressure points on the feet to treat various physical and mental ailments. It is based on the belief that the feet contain a network of nerves and pathways that connect to other parts of the body, including organs and glands.

“I have suffered from migraines almost my entire life, especially in the last few years. After I did my first float, I was hooked. I have been able to relax and de-stress more efficiently and effectively than anything I have tried. This so far is one of the only things besides medication that has actually helped reduce the frequency of my migraines, especially when coupled with a massage and Chiropractic treatment. It helps that Carla and her team run tip top ship. Everyone is always pleasant, accommodating, and easy to converse with while the facilities are always clean and presentable. A relaxing environment is what you get! I will continue to use The Zaniya Center and will continue to recommend it to people!”

Frequently asked questions

What should I expect for my first float?

For your first float at Zaniya Center, expect a serene and unique experience. Upon arrival, you’ll be guided through the process, ensuring your comfort and understanding. The float session involves lying in a specially designed space filled with a solution of water and Epsom salt, allowing you to float effortlessly. The environment is controlled for both temperature and sound, creating a space where you can relax deeply. It’s a time to disconnect from external stimuli and focus inward. You might experience a sense of weightlessness and profound relaxation. Post-float, you’ll likely feel refreshed and calm.

How do you clean the water?

Not only is our water nearly sterile with 1100 pounds of epsom salt in 250 gallons of water, our filtration system is top notch. Our water cycles through a 1-micron filter and UV light sanitation at least 3 times between each client.

Our solution just as concentrated and just as clean as the dead sea. Dr Vore is a microbiologist specializing in recreational water facilities and is also on the Float Tank Association board. The following video features Dr Vore discussing germs and the probability of them living in the float water solution.

Do I need to bring anything?

Yourself!

We provide all necessities : towels, bath robe, sulphate & paraban free shampoo/conditioner/body wash, ear plugs, makeup remover, blow dryer. You are welcome to bring your own body products to use after your float but we kindly ask that you use our shampoo and body wash before your float.

What if I can't swim?

Swimming skills are not required for float therapy. The high salt content in the water makes floating effortless. You’ll float naturally without any effort, regardless of your ability to swim. The water is shallow, and the environment is designed for safety and ease. Our staff will be available to assist you and ensure your comfort throughout the experience.

What if I'm claustrophobic?

At Zaniya Center, we understand that claustrophobia is a concern for some. That’s why we offer open floats, which provide a more spacious and less enclosed floating experience. These spaces are designed to alleviate feelings of confinement, making it easier for those worried about space or claustrophobia. Additionally, we have a handicap accessible room with a transfer chair, ensuring comfort and ease of access for all our guests. Our staff is always on hand to assist and make adjustments to ensure your comfort and peace of mind during the float session.

I went in skeptical and with headache and neck pain! Came out NO headache No neck pain and I am a believer! I will definitely be floating at Zaniya again, I am so relaxed, like still so light and airy feeling. Thank you for the experience.

I've done a lot of float therapy. Usually in those relatively small-ish "pods". I liked this place because you get a room with a larger float bath where you can really let your arms and legs go and not touch the sides. Great experience overall.

I did the 9 weekly floats and was truly amazed how much it helped me climb out of the darkness! This is something I plan to continue on a monthly basis (minimum!) I’ve recently used the revibe chair and will continue that as well, incredible! Relaxing message that really gets the knots out. All of these are an experience I would highly recommend for anyone whether dealing with mental health, physical health or just to get back to your center.
